Meet the Artists
Ferah Uri
(Beauty by Füri Founder)
Ferah first ventured into the world of makeup artistry by going solo in her career as a dance anthropologist and performance artist in Southern California.
Understanding how important makeup application is for a professional dancer, she took various classes and workshops on makeup application for performers.
After a while, Ferah’s dance colleagues began requesting she do their makeup as well and before she knew it, she was working as a makeup artist through word of mouth!
After Ferah moved back home to the San Juan Islands, Washington in 2013, it didn’t take her long to transition her makeup skills into bridal work, while working as a makeup artist for three seasons at the beautiful Roche Harbor Resort.
In fact, Ferah’s long lasting, stress proof, sweat proof techniques used in performance makeup combined with the subtle Pacific Northwest beauty of bridal makeup is what makes her work so unique!
Clients are left feeling not just beautiful, but comfortable knowing they can cry, laugh and enjoy their day without worrying how their makeup will look and feel!
Ferah was fantastic! Her work is top rate, all of our looks stayed in place through sun, wind, rain, and hours of dancing. No one in my bridal party (including me) wears much makeup so we were pretty helpless in trying to define what we were looking for. Brenna Crouse Smith

Brenna came to Beauty by Füri over three years ago with a set of self-taught makeup skills. Quickly recognizing her natural talent, founder, Ferah Uri, quickly offered Brenna an apprenticeship.
Like many young women, Brenna grew up struggling with self confidence and feeling comfortable in her own skin. While in high school, she started using makeup as a tool to help develop self confidence.
Brenna says:
“Over the years, I learned to use makeup as a tool to enhance my natural beauty rather than cover up insecurities. Being able to do makeup on others to enhance the beauty they already have has been something I have become very passionate about”
After three years of hands-on bridal beauty experience, Brenna’s skill has flourished. Her intuitive, innate ability to connect with others has allowed her to create looks tailored to each person’s unique individuality!
